Enabling Error Logging on ACEmessage can assist us with tracking down errors or bugs.  You will not usually have to enable error logging unless asked to do so via Spydaman Design Studios Service Desk.  This article will show you how to enable error logging, and also how to submit your error log to us.

Enabling Error Logging

  1. Load ACEmessage from the icon on your Desktop
  2. Click the Options button on the Top Toolbar
  3. Under the General tab area, tick the box:  Enable Debug File (As pictured below)
  4. Click OK (Which will close the Options Box)
  5. Exit ACEmessage
  6. Follow the steps below to re-create your fault/bug/error

Enabling ACEmessage Debug

Re-create the Error/Fault/Bug

At this point if you can load ACEmessage, then try and re-create the problem you were experiencing (or as directed by our Service Desk staff).  It helps if you re-create the error a few times if possible.  Then if you can:

  1. Exit ACEmessage
  2. Create a new email from your email program
  3. Address it to the individual (Or Service Desk) who asked you to create the log file
  4. Attach the File:    (My Documents)\ACEmessage Debug.log
  5. Send it (And any other requested information)
  6. Disable Error Logging (By unticking the Enable Debug File in step 3 at the beginning of this article

NOTE:  The file location above is within your My Documents folder.  In your My Documents you will have a file called ACEmessage Debug.log
